Link Love: Can't get enough of cowboy boots

I have a fashion confession and a question...

First, my name is Amy and I'm obsessed with cowboy boots. I think 90% of the reason I watched Friday Night Lights was to see what dress Tami Taylor would wear with her cowboy boots next. I secretly want to move to Texas, just so I can wear cowboy boots everyday. I don't like country music or cowboy hats – just the boots, please.

Now for my question... how practical are cowboy boots in California? Just about every time I wear them, I second-guess myself and think, is this ridiculous? Because clearly there is not a farm or a cow or a prairie in sight. But gosh darnit, I look cute.  Would you wear cowboy boots in a non-country setting?
