WIWW: Sundress & 31 weeks

April 4, 2012

Time for What I Wore Wednesday!

I'm 31 weeks (actually just about 32), and struggling with a very low belly. I'm not sure if you can really tell in the photos, but this baby has dropped so low that it's really uncomfortable. Of course, a 31-week belly is uncomfortable enough as it is, regardless of position. You should have seen me trying to paint my toenails yesterday; I was sitting in a very interesting position on the floor and huffing and puffing because I couldn't breathe. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Anyway, I picked up the dress I'm wearing in these photos on sale at Old Navy a few weeks ago. I wasn't crazy about it on the hanger, but ended up really liking it when I tried it on (plus is was only $20, so how could I resist?). Because the spring weather has been so up and down, I've also worn it with an oversized chunky knit cardigan, tights, and flat boots. It's a great transitional dress for that reason, I can pretty much make it work regardless of the weather.

Yesterday is was close to 80 degrees in Southern California, so I wore it as is with some heels.

My necklace was a birthday gift from my sister. It's a DIY bird's nest necklace with a red stone for my daughter (her birthstone), and a blue stone for our upcoming boy (since we're not sure what his birth stone will be just yet). I love it!

Sarah Ortega gives a great tutorial in case you want to make your own like my crafty sister:
